• Identify the principles underpinning the national approach to stepped care .

• Implement the IAR Guidance in practice settings, using the domains and the decision support tool to generate a recommended level of care
• Describe the levels of care and can determine regional services matched against the levels of care
• Identify the principles related to clinical decision making and consumer choice, and can practice following these principles using supported decision-making strategies

Brisbane North PHN leads two MHAOD Commissioned Provider meetings a year with the next meeting scheduled for 13 September 2022. 

Before the PHN develops an agenda, we want to confirm that the following draft Purpose Statements for these meetings are accurate and reflective of what you, as commissioned service providers, seek from these meetings. We plan to use these Statements to plan our September 2022 meeting as well as future meetings.

Our proposed Purpose Statements are:

1. Provide an opportunity for MHAOD commissioned service providers to network, share information and hear from other providers;
2. Seek integration opportunities to improve transitions between service providers;
3. Explore shared challenges;
4. Provide a strategic update from the PHN about sector changes, opportunities and news.

Thank you for your participation in our Brokering better partnerships and stakeholder relationships training. The objectives of the training were to:  

• build understanding of multi-stakeholder collaborations/ relationships (‘partnering’) 
• provide an opportunity to explore key challenges and good practice principles
• consider what it takes to work together effectively
• introduce a number of frameworks and concepts and share different views / experiences
• introduce the concept of ‘partnership brokering’
