  • Digital On-line Peer Support

    Digital Peer Support Certificate (Short Course). This certification is designed to promote rapid uptake of digital peer support and is designed specifically to address the needs of the current COVID-19 crisis. The certification does not assess a person’s ability to use technology such as zoom, but rather incorporates the latest scientific evidence of digital peer support.

    This 4-hour certification includes dyadic training on: Digital Communication Skills; How to Engage Service Users with Technology; Technology Literacy and Usage Skills; Bonding and Connection through Technology; Available Technologies; Privacy and Confidentiality; Monitoring Digital Peer Support; How to Address a Digital Crisis.

    A knowledge test is presented at the end of the educational section that requires 80% correct answers to achieve the Digital Peer Support Certification (Short Course).

    Fee: $5,000 for up to 40 participants If undertaking the Train the Trainer component $12,500 (which includes the four hour course plus 10 places for TtheT

  • WAAMHs Online Learning Hub - Ongoing

    WAAMH's training team has compiled a list of web-based training and education courses and resources for the WA mental health sector. These courses are not delivered by WAAMH, but have been identified as high quality and relevant to the sector. Please note - some (though not all) of the training courses listed may require payment, and some of them may require prior learning.

  • Metro North Mental Health Project

    Opportunities to be involved in different Metro North Mental Health projects and activities arise from time to time. A Registry of Lived Experience (ROLE) people who want to get involved has been created. Involvement will be matched to your areas of interest and expertise.

  • Emerging Minds online learning platform

    Emerging Minds Learning launches at the end of the month

    The launch of our updated online learning platform is just weeks away!

    From Tuesday 28 July, you’ll enjoy a new learning experience that includes:

    • a structured learning approach tailored to you and your sector
    • access to browse and favourite all Emerging Minds resources including podcasts, toolkits, practice papers and more
    • an area to store all of your course certifications
    • phone and tablet compatibility
    • and much more.

    But what about my current learning?

    All of your existing assessments will be transferred over, so feel free to continue your learning in the current system. If you’re part way through a course, please make note of where you’re up to as this progress will not be carried over.

    Once you’ve logged into the new system, your progress from then on will be saved. But if you’re close to completing a course, now is a great time to jump in and get that certificate!
