The overall objective of the Health Needs Assessment (HNA) session in the next Community Advisory Committee (CAC) and Clinical Council (CC) meeting is for members to make a joint recommendation on a set of 4-6 ranked and weighted optional prioritisation criteria for the PHN to consider in its overall prioritisation criteria development.
These optional criteria will be used in conjunction with the fouressential criteria (predetermined by the Department of Health’s policy guidance to PHNs) to form an overall list of prioritisation criteria. The prioritisation criteria will then used to determine Brisbane North’s most important health needs based on data and community consultation results (refer to the Briefing Paper for more details about the overall Health Needs Assessment and prioritisation criteria process). The PHN considers 7 prioritisation criteria to be substantial in determining priorities.
In preparation for this important session please:
review the four essential criteria that will form part of the PHN's prioritisation criteria (see Briefing Paper)
with the four essential criteria in mind, consider which of the following six optional criteria should be included in the PHN's prioritisation criteria
based on your individual perspective, rank each of the six optional criteria from most important (rank 1st) to least important (rank 6th)
For example:
1 = Most important
2 = Important
3 = Moderately important
4 = Low importance
5 = Lowest importance
6 = Not important at all
We will share your optional criteria ranking results in the CAC and CC meeting to:
discuss and explore your choices and perspectives
help reach a joint consensus on CAC and CC preferred PHN prioritisation criteria
put forward a CAC and CC prioritisation criteria recommendation to the Brisbane North PHN/Metro North Health HNA Steering Committee.
Thank you for your valued contribution to this process.
