FindCareFast Project– focus group expression of interest invitation
We are seeking both lived experience community members and health or community service providers who work with these groups to take part in focus groups or culturally appropriate discussions.
Brisbane North PHN and Brisbane South PHN have partnered with New World Order to co-design and develop FindCareFast https://findcarefast.com.au/ a new health service navigation website and community awareness campaign for the Greater Brisbane region and surrounds.
FindCareFast helps people easily and quickly find the most suitable health care for their needs — for example, showing when there might be a better option than visiting an emergency department after hours or on weekends.
The website assists people to connect with their local primary care (e.g. GP), urgent care, emergency care, mental health, and allied health professional (e.g psychologist) services. It links to the Healthdirect's online Symptom Checker and 13 HEALTH phone line to help people decide where to go for advice or treatment.
About Phase 2 of the Project
Phase 2 focuses on gaining deeper insights to make FindCareFast more relevant, easier to use, and more widely known.
We want to better understand the needs of these key community groups:
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples
People from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds
People experiencing homelessness and disadvantage
There will be six focus groups, each with around six participants.
When: Sessions will be held on 17, 19 and 20 February 2026, with online participation and flexibility for face-to-face in the Greater Brisbane area, if preferred.
Payment: Community members with lived experience are eligible for a payment of $120 GST exclusive for their participation in the focus group. Participants will need to complete a Sitting Fee Claim Form. Service providers will not receive payment for participation.
How to submit your Expression of Interest (EOI)
If you are a person with lived experience or a service provider in one of the three focus areas listed above, and would like to participate in this project, please complete the EOI form below before 23 January 2026.
All applicants — successful or unsuccessful — will be notified of the outcome.
