28 October Blue Knot Day Festival of Healing - The Mental Health Coordinating Council (MHCC)
CLOSED: This discussion has concluded.28 October, will bring together different resources and experiences to foster healing such as an interactive Grounding Session, a light trauma-informed yoga session, a Q&A panel discussion with our Blue Knot Helpline and Redress Support Service and National Counselling and Referral Service (disability), creative interlude with discussion on how creativity can assist healing, survivor stories of healing and hope plus much more. As part of Blue Knot Day and the Festival of Healing, counsellors will be speaking on panels and answering questions about services. If you would like to submit question for the panel, including any questions around redress, please submit any questions by 16 October.

ACRRM Drug and Alcohol Addiction Education Program 2020
The Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine’s (ACRRM) Drug and Alcohol Addiction Education (DAAE) Program includes a suite of incentivised activities to strengthen the capacity of General Practitioners to address drug and alcohol addiction in their communities. These training activities include workshops (face-to-face and online), an online learning course and webinars with subject matter experts, supported by resources for General Practitioners to use in their practice.
Each activity attracts individual incentive payments for eligible ACRRM members, and can be done separately; however, it is strongly recommended that you to complete the full suite of activities. Visit the ACRRM website for more information about the DAAE program and to register.

Virtual Integrated Pain Centre
The Queensland Collaborative Virtual Integrated Pain Centre is a patient focused program, aiming to provide persistent pain suffers in remote and rural Queensland access to specialist allied health services closer to home.
The program will be utilising local health facilities to host group sessions connecting patients via Telehealth to skilled Allied Health Clinicians in tertiary pain centres. -

Mental Health Carer Support Group - 2nd Thursday of the month
There is now a Mental Health Carer Support Group and Counselling Service for people who support people who have mental health difficulties run by STRIDE at Caboolture.
When: 2nd Thursday of the month.
Where: Chisel Room at the Caboolture RSL(Cnr Hasking and Beerburrum Road, Caboolture).
Time: 11:30am to 1:30pm.
