Brisbane North PHN will deliver two face-to-face Residential Aged Care Clinical Masterclasses in November 2026. Designed for nurses, care staff, clinical managers and other residential aged care workforce representatives, the Masterclasses will provide practical, interactive and case-based education to strengthen clinical knowledge, confidence and decision-making.
The program will focus on recognising and responding to clinical deterioration, managing behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia, and using advance care planning to support person-centred care.
Participants will also build their awareness of relevant clinical support services, referral pathways and escalation processes that can assist residential aged care homes.
The Masterclasses have been informed by feedback from participants at the May 2026 events and consultation with sector stakeholders, who identified a preference for practical learning, greater audience interaction and further education across these priority areas.
Events will be held in Chermside on Wednesday 4 November and Kallangur on Thursday 12 November 2026.
