Brisbane North PHN are offering a limited number of general practice staff in our region to access a fully funded CPR training course provided by Fluid Learning. Places are limited to 1 person per practice.
The Provide CPR course is the standard CPR qualification for workplace first aiders Australia-wide. On successful completion of this course you will be awarded the following unit of competency: HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
In this course you'll learn the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the most up to date guidelines from the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC).
This course is intended for anyone who may be required to provide CPR as an emergency first response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. CPR is one of the most basic and critical skills that anyone can and should learn!
The Provide CPR course includes the most up-to-date basic life support principles including:
Managing an unconscious casualty
Performing CPR on adults and infants
Using a defibrillator (AED)
Legal issues around providing CPR
Infection control and reporting
Course components
Online learning and assessment (up to 1 hour to complete)
Face-to-face practical session (2 hours duration)
