Your Region, Your Voice | Strengthening our partnerships with allied health providers
Brisbane North PHN (the PHN) supports clinicians and communities across a diverse region encompassing North Brisbane and Moreton Bay, parts of Somerset Regional Council and Norfolk Island. The PHN's vision is a community where good health is available for everyone.
We do this by:
- looking at the health needs of our community to determine healthcare service needs and gaps, and
- working to integrate care across primary, tertiary and allied health sectors to ensure patients receive the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

About the Your Region, Your Voice survey
The PHN recognises that allied health providers play an integral role in primary care, keeping patients well and supported in the community. To strengthen the connection with the sector and provide allied health providers with a voice, the PHN is embarking on a series of engagement activities.
The PHN has partnered with independent consultancy Impact Co. to learn how allied health providers can be better supported across the region to facilitate patient-centred, integrated healthcare.
The Your Region, Your Voice survey will be followed by focus groups and interviews facilitated by Impact Co. to further explore the support needs and valued perspectives of providers for consideration by the PHN.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and the questions align with the following key priority areas of the National PHN Allied Health in Primary Care Engagement Framework (the Framework):
- practice engagement
- data, quality and digital maturity
- workforce and access to allied health
- integration, models of care and funding.
Insights from allied health providers will be used to inform the development of a support plan that addresses local support needs and strengthens the partnership between allied health providers, the primary care sector and the PHN, facilitating increased and collaborative ways of working.
As part of the survey, you will have the opportunity to indicate whether you are interested in participating in the reimbursed focus groups. If you would like to participate, you will be required to provide your name and contact details at the end of the survey. In this instance, these details will be linked to your responses. If you opt not to provide your contact details, all responses will remain anonymous.
