Palliative Care Australia in partnership with a diverse range of specialist health professionals, and parents and carers has developed a new Paediatric Palliative Care Referral Decision-Making Guideline Tool, to assist health professionals in identifying when to refer children to paediatric palliative care.

This initiative aligns with our shared commitment to improving equitable access to palliative care across Australia, particularly for children and families navigating complex health journeys. The tool is designed to support behavioural change in clinical practice and promote timely, compassionate referrals.
