Petition to parliament: Better access to palliative care in Queensland

[From PCQ]

Across Queensland, many people living with a life-limiting illness and their families continue to face challenges accessing the palliative care services and support they need.

Every Queenslander deserves access to quality palliative and end of life care, regardless of where they live.

A petition has been lodged with the Queensland Parliament calling on the Queensland Government to:

  • Ensure Palliative Care Queensland has the resources necessary to operate as an effective peak body for the sector
  • Ensure all hospices in Queensland can continue to provide care for their communities
  • Ensure every region has access to hospice services
  • Ensure all Hospital and Health Services provide dedicated community palliative care services and dedicated inpatient palliative care beds

These services make a real difference to people facing a life-limiting illness and to the families and carers who support them.

We encourage you to add your voice to this important call for equitable access to palliative and end of life care across Queensland by signing the petition below.
