Join us on Wednesday 26 August 2026, for our education webinar titled “Understanding Grief: Connection, Expectations and What Brings Peace of Mind”.

Grief touches all of us at some point, yet no two experiences are ever the same. The loss of a loved one, a relationship, a role, or a future we imagined can leave us feeling disconnected from the world around us and uncertain about how to move forward. This thoughtful education webinar invites an open conversation about grief as a deeply personal experience, exploring why the same loss can affect people in very different ways and how feelings of isolation can become part of the journey. Together, we'll consider the many forms connection can take during grief, recognising that comfort and meaning are not always found in the same places for everyone.

Join our speakers Tsultrim (Carla Pearse), Spiritual Care Practitioner and Counsellor and Lynn Berger, Clinical Statewide Bereavement Lead, Advanced Social Worker from Specialist Palliative Rural Telehealth Service (SPaRTa) for a compassionate conversation and practical guidance for navigating grief in your own life and supporting those around you who may be grieving. Participants will come away with compassionate strategies, a better understanding of how to respond when someone is grieving, and greater awareness of the professional supports available when extra help is needed. Whether you are experiencing loss yourself or looking to better support others, this session offers a welcoming space for learning, understanding and peace.

We believe that palliative care is everybody’s business, and we aim to build compassionate communities around people and their families experiencing serious illness, dying, death and grief. This webinar is designed for all members of the community including both health and non-health related workers (i.e., healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, social workers, allied health staff, health administrative staff, spiritual care workers, health managers, health educators, pharmacists and paramedics).
