Research published in The BMJ has exposed the scale of fake studies flooding cancer science.

Working as a “scientific spam filter”, a new AI tool developed by Prof Adrian Barnett and colleagues identifies cancer research publications that are likely to have been produced by paper mills, organisations that mass produce fake research.
